sb2 secures over a year of past benefits for an OH client plus right to ongoing benefits

An Ohio county Medicaid agency held an application almost seven months when sb2 appealed for inaction.  The county responded by issuing a denial for resources based upon an improper valuation of the resident’s assets.  sb2 successfully appealed the denial, and the county was ordered to reopen and reprocess the application.  The end result? An approved application with an effective date of December 2012 – a decision worth approximately $60K in Medicaid benefits and an entitlement to ongoing benefits of $5K per month!
