sb2 recovers $25k in past benefits for Texas client

In a recent case, sb2 intervened to secure benefits for a resident with excess resource due to significant real property interests owned jointly with her spouse. sb2  pursued and secured a professional Guardian of Estate to properly spend-down the real properties, which allowed the resident to be approved for Medicaid benefits.  As the Guardian works to sell the real properties, the facility’s interest in same will be secured through an open-end mortgage and a note for the balance owed to it for the care rendered (and continuing to be rendered) to the resident.
